The FXJ chopper is a simplified version of the FX model, the largest and most effective chopper in the Kverneland range. It is ideally suited to heavy duty set-aside work, and clearing scrub. Naturally, it tackles pasture tidying with ease and quickly disposes of straw and other crop residues after harvesting.
All models are solidly constructed throughout with a heavy duty gearbox and very strong power transmission to the 'V' belts driving the shafts. In addition FXJ choppers have a strengthened chassis with double plating in the areas subject to the highest stress.
Precision Rotor Shaft For Smooth Operation
The rotor shaft is a vital part of a chopper. Rotating at up to 2,200 rpm, it is essential for the shaft to be manufactured to the highest tolerances for it to turn easily and efficiently. For smooth operation, Kverneland rotor shafts are also dynamically balanced after all the blades have been fitted.
Low Power Requirement
High rotor speed, combined with the large number of blades, increases cutting efficiency while reducing the input power required. The large number of blades reduces the amount to be cut by each blade, so the rotor revolves more easily and evenly.
